The association funding project Baustoffwende is funded by the Federal Environment Agency and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. It is in particular a communication project through which natureplus aims to raise awareness in building circles for the problems relating to climate, health and resource protection in building materials and to sensitize a broader public to these issues. natureplus wants to provide orientation for a sustainable choice of building products and thus contribute to the reduction of the environmental problems described. The material issue is to be brought out of the technical discussion and into the consciousness of the broader public. In doing so, we want to focus on modern knowledge transfer and plan to create digital teaching and information materials (such as the summaries, presentations and videos of our events), as well as distributing new formats via our online channels. As part of this project, we also plan to adapt our homepage, which links as a contact point for those interested in the topic of environmentally friendly building materials, and to expand and intensify our communication on all channels.
Are you developing your own (online) materials on the subject of sustainable building and sustainable building materials? Please feel free to contact us, we would be happy to continuously develop our content.

The research project Sustainable Supply Chains in Construction is funded by the German Federal Office for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) and aims to develop standards of environmental and social sustainability in different product categories of construction across the supply chain. This project is about identifying potential risk materials and by actively involving different stakeholders in this field and evaluating their previous experiences, defining requirements for responsible resource extraction in construction. We want to use existing labels and quality marks to develop practical tools that can be used to demonstrate these requirements throughout the supply chain. We want to investigate the extent to which existing databases, including those from other sectors, provide practicable approaches for this purpose. The project results are then to be incorporated into the instruments of the federal government (BNB, ÖKOBAUDAT, WECOBIS) as well as into the auditing practice of natureplus and other interested certifiers. Through the intensive participation of stakeholders, we expect a good acceptance and a broad public for this topic.
Are you yourself active in the area of sustainable supply chains in the construction industry and interested in learning more and, if applicable, actively participating in this project? Please feel free to contact us!

Through scientific studies, natureplus e.V. contributes to the definition of which properties characterise the sustainable quality of building products. It investigates how these properties can be best measured and evaluated and, using this information, how a standard can be defined. It also explores how state-run and private developers and investors can optimize their selection and use of sustainable building products.
The aim of our research is to serve the sole interests of consumers and the environment.
The objective of the natureplus e.V research collaborations is to tap, together with partners, international scientific potential and thereby influence all the current developments on the sustainable quality of building products.
The research projects are conducted in cooperation with national and international collaborative partners.
